Design & Construction

The full port design has no internal obstruction to flow and provides a "blind flanges" shut-off when the gate is closed.

The valve is a split body, bi-directional, packing less, rubber-lined, knife-gate valve suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

The valve's sealing surface is between two thick, rubber sleeves which are compressed into the stainless steel or cast iron valve housing.

The sleeve is molded with one integral stainless steel stiffener ring which located the sleeve in the valve housing and helps the sleeves resist the high shearing forces present when the gate is driven between them. Split body serve as an external guide to the valve's knife gate. When in the open position, the stainless steel gate is completely with-drawn from the process flow and can be inspected and replaced, if necessary, without taking the valve out of service.
